Observe Carefully

It can be easy to overlook your feet, so it is important to maintain a routine of checking on them daily. Look at them every day after showering, or wherever else is convenient. Take note of any blisters or swelling that may be occurring, and figure out what is causing the issue.



Keep Them Smooth

For feet that look as healthy as they are, use a pumice stone on rough heels and calluses. Make sure to soak your feet before doing this.

Keep Fungus Away

Feet are frequently kept in dark environments, in the form of socks and shoes, and if they get wet (from rain, sweat, etc.) you have created the perfect environment for fungus to grow. Make sure to dry your feet thoroughly after you shower. If you notice foot fungus is starting to grow, make sure to take care of it right away. There are plenty of anti-fungal creams, lotions, and powders that will help kill the fungus. Use powder in your shoes and socks to prevent your feet from becoming moist.



Get Those Nails Done

The health of your toenails is just as important as the health of the skin on your feet. If you get pedicures, make sure that the technician is not cutting the cuticle; request that they push it back instead. Cutting the cuticle can cause infections. Use nail polishes that are free from ingredients that will cause your nails to become brittle. This is especially important to consider as you age. You can use vitamin E to moisturize your toenails to combat any brittleness.
